Burna Boy’s debut single from his upcoming album I Told Them... delivers a bold, genre-defying statement right from the start. The track, titled I Told Them and featuring the legendary GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, blends Afrobeats energy with hip-hop’s raw lyricism. Produced by Harper Gordon, Kofo, and Telz, the collaboration showcases Burna Boy’s signature swagger alongside GZA’s sharp, introspective flow. As the first track from the album, it sets an ambitious tone, merging Nigerian creativity with global hip-hop influence.

The chemistry between Burna Boy and GZA shines through in their dynamic chemistry, where Afrobeats rhythms meet hip-hop’s rhythmic precision. GZA’s signature cadence and Burna Boy’s melodic phrasing create a compelling contrast, making the track both a cultural moment and a standout piece. With its polished production, the song captures the essence of the album’s direction—bold, experimental, and unapologetically original.

Dropped in 2023 as part of Burna Boy’s latest project, I Told Them marks a significant moment in his discography. Fans and critics alike will be eager to see how this high-energy opener evolves across the rest of the album, promising a fresh take on Afrobeats and hip-hop fusion.
