Appel’s latest track, "Jy Sallie," blends smooth vocals with a rich instrumental backdrop, showcasing the artist’s signature blend of soulful melody and rhythmic depth. Produced and mixed by Murray Lubbe, the track features a lush arrangement that includes Brendan Ross on saxophone, adding a warm, textured layer to the sound. Murray Lubbe also handles programming and bass, grounding the track with a solid foundation while Murray Lubbe’s own backing vocals weave through the mix, enhancing the song’s emotional resonance.

The collaboration with Ichnus brings an additional layer of vocal warmth, complementing Appel’s lead performance. Juan Floors Oosthuizen contributes both acoustic and electric guitar, lending a dynamic contrast to the track’s instrumentation. With Christoph Kotze handling composition and lyrics, "Jy Sallie" captures a moment of introspection and musical craftsmanship, all polished by Paulo Azevedo’s mastering touch.
